ROCKY RIVER - Fred Sokol, Chair - Stop Abortion in Rocky River Committee meditates on: WHAT WOULD THE UNBORN BABY SAY ABOUT ABORTION?

I am an unborn baby and … I just want to be loved and to live with you.

Yet I am very much smaller than you.  Yet I am growing just like you do.   I heard that scientists, doctors and professors testify that even though I am an unborn baby I am a complete human being.  I agree.  I have arms, legs, feet, toes, hands, fingers a head, ears, eyes, nose and a mouth.  Yet I am not able to use my body parts well right now.  Yet I can't wait one day when I will be able to use them when I am born.  You may wonder why I can't wait to be born?  You see … I just want to be loved and to live with you. 

I have big plans when I am born and finally grow up.  I want to get married, have children of my own and raise a family as well.  I also want to give back by becoming … now let me see, what would I like to be?  How about a Scientist, Statesman, Inventor, Engineer, Builder, Farmer, Economist, Priest, a Religious, Business Man, Teacher, Technician, Politician, Actor, Song Writer, Entertainer, Hero … or a Doctor who finds a cure for cancer?  Oh you will be so happy to see me successful one day.  Perhaps with my accomplishments I will make your life better too.  In order to be successful and to make your lives better … I just want to be loved and to live with you. 

I also heard that my fellow unborn babies and I are pretty important.  I heard that in America, that is where my mom lives … there is this big discussion throughout America about the unborn baby … and that's me they are talking about.  I heard they carry a lot of signs with pictures of unborn babies on them.  Yet these pictures don't look right, the unborn babies don't look like me.  These unborn babies are missing body parts.  I know I have my body parts I am looking at them right now.  What makes these other unborn babies have missing body parts … and why are they showing these scary pictures on signs?  I need to find out more about this when I am born.  Oh there is so much to learn about the World when I am born I can't wait … I just want to be loved and to live with you. 

I also hear that a lot of people pray for me and my fellow unborn babies.  There are people who march, who stand and sing songs, speak to large crowds, they yell "Thou Shalt Not Kill" and “Real Catholics are pro-life”, they stand in the cold of Winter, stand in the heat of Summer and stand in pouring rain and brave lightning storms because they like us.  I feel very good about that.  It is nice to know there are people who like us.  The people I will see when I am born must be very nice.  Oh I can't wait until I am born to see all of these nice people oh, I can’t wait … I just want to be loved and to live with you. 

Yet I also understand a lot of important and very powerful people don't agree with these nice people who like us.  I hear they do not understand me and my fellow unborn babies.  They don't seem to like us much.  I don’t know why?  They hold signs like, “keep abortion legal” while those who like us unborn babies hold signs like “defend life” and “face it abortion kills”.  What does abortion mean anyway?  Also those who do not like me and my fellow unborn babies call us "A Punishment" "A Mistake".  I also hear words like "throw away society, choice, infanticide, abortion, there is that word “abortion” again and negative population growth" coming from these not very nice people.  Why do they say these things about me and my fellow unborn babies?  Aren't we in the process of growing and about to be born because our mom’s want us?  Oh I can't wait to be born so I can see my mom so she can hold me … not like she is holding me now … but holding me in her arms.  So she can hug me, caress me and kiss me.  Oh, I can’t wait to be born … I just want to be loved and to live with you. 

That’s strange I can actually hear the words, "God does not exist".  Hey everybody!  Of course God does exist.  He even asked me if I wanted to come to Earth to be born.  I told Him of course I will!  Then He placed me inside my mom to grow big enough to be born.  I also hear other words spoken, "Motherhood is demeaning and enslavement."  Hey, why is being a mother so bad?  I am growing inside my mom right now.  I also hear, "My body, my choice".  Now wait a minute there is another body here too.  It is my body.  Then I hear someone say, "Abortion is a Right!"  Now let me think, I heard that word "abortion" mentioned before.  Hmmm?  Again, what does that word “abortion” mean?  By the way, was that my mom that was saying all of those scary words?  Hey!  The place where I am living now inside my mom has gotten larger.  The liquid all around me has been drained away from me.  I feel a sharp object cut deep into my leg I am bleeding profusely, I am losing consciousness.  Why is this happening to me?  I see God He is reaching out to me … now everything is clear to me.  I tell Him, I am sorry God, I tried.  Then in my last breath … as the sharp merciless scalpel continues to cut and dismember me.  I say to all on Earth, in America and to my mom … I just wanted to be loved and to live with you.

MEDITATION: GRAPHIC ABORTION SIGN REBUTTAL

• Dear Friend, you asked me for a rebuttal to graphic abortion sign display criticism?   No problem.

• Answer: “IT SAVES [UNBORN BABY’S] LIVES!”

• If a person persists after your answer above, do not debate them any further.  They just refuse to hear the truth.  Nor do they want others to know the truth about abortion as well.  

• Just remember in your own mind that there is no debate as to what we are legally doing in front of an abortion clinic as we display our graphic abortion signs.  We pro-lifers are here to tell the truth about the horror of abortion.  It is what it is.  It is reality.  It is horror.

• The graphic abortion signs that we display clearly say to a prospective mother contemplating killing her unborn baby or to anyone else for that matter.  That abortion is a violent act of murder upon the unborn baby.  We as pro-lifers are exposing this criminal act to the public and to the prospective ‘aborting mother’ sometimes for the very first time.  

• Furthermore it has also been clearly documented from various pro-life organizations.  Women who contemplated abortion upon seeing the display of graphic abortion signs have turned away from aborting their unborn child and ultimately gave birth to their child.

• Also as well.  It has also been clearly documented from various pro-life organizations.  Women who did abort and murder their unborn baby upon seeing the display of graphic abortion signs have sought forgiveness for aborting their unborn child.   

• In summary the benefit in displaying the graphic abortion sign to the public is threefold.  The display of the graphic abortion sign to the public [1.] educates the public on the horror of abortion [2.] turns prospective mothers that consider aborting their child away thus saving the unborn baby’s life and [3.] causes a women who did abort and murder her unborn baby to seek forgiveness for what she had done.  

• Thus, educate, save lives and redeems souls is what the display of graphic abortion signs do when shown to the public.  

• Yet we my friend who display the graphic abortion sign, are just ‘God’s Messenger’ to that message of abortion horror.  

• It is in God’s Hands as to what effect takes place in the person’s mind after seeing the graphic abortion sign.   For God is in control of all.  Praise to You, Oh, Almighty God.   

• PRAYER: We pray that those contemplating abortion of their unborn baby at this time turn away from abortion and rather glory in the ‘Gift of Life’ of their unborn child that God has given to them, I ask this in Jesus Name, Amen.
