For Immediate Release:

ROCKY RIVER – Fred Sokol, Chair – Stop Abortion in Rocky River Committee says, “As a Rocky River resident for the last 19 years.  I remember when the City of Rocky River was once number one #1 in Cleveland Magazine … not anymore.” As Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said, “Behold, your house will be abandoned, desolate.”  Matthew 23:38.  Why?

“Rocky River protects abortion in their Community.  Does Rocky River also want us to shut up about abortion in Rocky River?  Has Rocky River become abandoned and desolate because it protects abortion in its Community?  

Is Rocky River singing a little louder about abortion in Rocky River?  More on that last point at the end of my letter.  You decide.

ROCKY RIVER PROTECTS ABORTION IN THEIR COMMUNITY

1.     Pro-Lifers now point a “PLANNED PARENTHOOD HERE” sign at an ‘Office Building’ that houses Rocky River Health Center [Planned Parenthood] at 20800 Center Ridge Road, Rocky River, Ohio that offers ... “Abortion pill (medication abortion) … up to 9 weeks after the start of your last menstrual period.”  As no PLANNED PARENTHOOD sign is in front of said Rocky River office building … where Rocky River Health Center [Planned Parenthood] is.   

2.     Graphic Abortion Signs are also displayed by pro-lifers to alert the public that “Abortion pill (medication abortion) … up to 9 weeks after the start of your last menstrual period.”  is offered in Rocky River, Ohio … and to stop abortion in Rocky River.

3.     Even pro-lifers from surrounding areas … currently gather in Rocky River.  To pray to stop abortion in Rocky River … called “40 Days For Life”.  “It is God’s Will”, said one person who answered me why they are now in Rocky River to pray to stop abortion.

DOES ROCKY RIVER WANT US TO SHUT UP ABOUT ABORTION IN ROCKY RIVER?

4.     Recently, I prayed my Holy Rosary in front of Rocky River Health Center [Planned Parenthood] for the present “40 Days For Life”.  A fancy pick-up truck heading west on Center Ridge Road quickly approached me.  Both the father and 10 year old son in the truck gave me the middle finger as they drove by me.  I also held a sign that clearly read, “PRAY TO END ABORTION” … as well.  Did they want me to shut up about abortion in Rocky River?

5.     Finally, on Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 10 am to 11:30 am. As my two [2] pro-life friends and I stood displaying graphic abortion signs in front of Rocky River Health Center [Planned Parenthood] … with a sign reading “PLANNED PARENTHOOD 3 HERE”.  A man in his early 30’s drove by us screaming, “Hey, what’s with all these signs, ‘a__ hole’.”  I clearly noticed a very large Rocky River ‘Pirates School Logo’ prominently displayed on the back of this foul mouthed and disrespectful person’s car.  Did that person want me to shut up about abortion in Rocky River?

HAS ROCKY RIVER BECOME ‘ABANDONED AND DESOLATE’ BECAUSE IT PROTECTS ABORTION IN ITS COMMUNITY?

Rocky River Leaders of City Government, the Churches, the Schools and the Businesses have failed to stop abortion in Rocky River.  Neither have I seen one Rocky River leader stand with me as I prayed and displayed graphic abortion signs … in front of Rocky River Health Center [Planned Parenthood].

Do these Rocky River Leaders want to stop abortion in Rocky River?  Do they swear [promise] to God and to the Community they will protect all of Rocky River’s Citizens to the best of their ability?  If they did take that oath they forgot to protect the unborn citizens from abortion and death in Rocky River. 

Is this, who runs Rocky River now?  If they [City Leaders] cannot protect the Community’s unborn citizens from abortion and death in Rocky River … they cannot be given the power to represent and protect the entire Community.  Thus the City will surely die.

IN CONCLUSION: SING A LITTLE LOUDER

Finally, I want to share the following story with you.  It is a reminder of another time in History when good people decided to do nothing to help save their fellow man. 

It is entitled “Sing a Little Louder” by Penny Lea.  It is about German Christians living in a German Village during World War II.  Jewish People were being sent by train to the German Death Camps through their German Community.  The train tracks were also next to their Church of worship.

Whenever the train approached, the German Christians in the Community were made aware of the condemned Jewish horror that was approaching on the train.  To drown out the cries and screams for help of the Jewish People heading to the German Death Camps.  The German Christians in the Church would sing just a little louder to drown out the Jews hapless screams for help.

FINALLY: IS ROCKY RIVER SINGING A LITTLE LOUDER ABOUT ABORTION AS WELL?

Do you in Rocky River “sing a little louder” when you drive by Rocky River Health Center [Planned Parenthood] at 20800 Center Ridge Road, Rocky River, Ohio that offers ... “Abortion pill (medication abortion) … up to 9 weeks after the start of your last menstrual period.”

Do you roll up your car window so you don’t have to hear the prayers from the pro-lifers that call to God “To Protect and Save the Unborn Baby from Abortion and Death”?

Do you turn up your car radio and try to drown out the prayers you hear from pro-lifers to Jesus, Mary and to God to protect the unborn and to have mercy on all sinners?

Do you scream profanities, make obscene gestures and just try to shout down pro-lifers who love much greater than you?

Do you claim to love your family … yet try not to help to turn other people away from aborting and killing their unborn children?

If you say yes to any of the above … you are repeating history.  You are like the German Community in World War II that just sang a little louder.  As their fellow man, woman and child were sent to and died needlessly in the German Death Camps. 

While today, unborn baby girls and boys die needlessly in America’s Abortion Death Clinics.  While you just sing a little louder.  May God have mercy on you.

MEDITATION: GOD SEES MANKIND AND GOD CRIES

God sees His unborn babies He created … aborted and killed … by the very hands of Mankind … that God Created as well.  Yes God cries at the abortion clinics throughout the World. 

God also sees Mankind making the World imperfect.  God also sees Mankind’s selfishness, godlessness and cruelty that even make the Angels shudder. 

One day Mankind will see the end of time, when Mankind will also shudder for the evil it embraced, yet does not want to account for, yet will.  Then God will not only see.  Mankind will see God face to face as well.  Will God welcome us?

So go ahead Mankind, live for yourself.  Shut everyone - including God out.  Do not love God, do not love your neighbor … do not love yourself. 

For if you really loved God, your neighbor as yourself … you would get down on your knees and thank God for all He has given you.  Not because you Oh Mankind deserve it.  No not at all.  It is simply because God who created you loves you so very much, Oh Mankind.  All He wants you to do Oh misled Mankind, is to love Him, His Creation that includes both the born and unborn of Mankind … as well as yourself.

Someone recently told me, “That God upon creating Mankind … put a limit on Mankind’s intelligence, yet God did not put a limit on Mankind’s stupidity.”  

You decide if that is true Oh, Mankind.  For God already sees you Oh, Mankind … and God cries.

PRAYER: A PRAYER FOR MANKIND

Oh God, as Your Son Jesus said to Pilate before Jesus was sentenced to death on the Cross, "… For this I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice." John 18:37

I pray for those locked in the chains of sin and of the lies of satan.  I pray that Jesus, The Way, The Truth and The Life free all Mankind [and I am one of them] from those chains of sin and of the lies of satan … I ask this in Jesus Name, Amen.
