ROCKY RIVER – Fred Sokol, Chair – Stop Abortion in Rocky River Committee says,

“We will continue to expand ‘our prayer, presence and outreach’ to stop abortion in Rocky River. 

We will expand our pro-life ministry in Rocky River from Tuesdays and Saturdays … to everyday of the week [when possible].  Expect to find us in front of or across the street from Rocky River Health Center [Planned Parenthood] 20800 Center Ridge Road that offers ... “Abortion pill (medication abortion) … up to 9 weeks after the start of your last menstrual period.” 

WHY?

“My Committee and I feel Rocky River Citizens greatly benefited from our pro-life presence, prayer and outreach during “40 Days For Life” which is now over, says Sokol “we cannot walk away from the people now.”

Sokol says, “I saw many lost sheep in Rocky River looking for a Shepherd during the 40 days for life effort.  The Shepherd they needed is Christ Jesus Our Lord and Savior.” 

Through our pro-life 40 days for life ministry we stood, prayed and reached out to the born and for the unborn.  Unborn baby’s lives were saved from abortion and many people came up to us as we witnessed our pro-life stand.  They too stood, prayed and reached out to all, to God and for the unborn as well.

When needed.  We gently helped them to see a God of Mercy, Love and Forgiveness.  We talked to them of the plight of the unborn … and that abortion will only be stopped by God through our prayer.  We also talked to them about Our God, “That anything is possible with Him”.  Then for some, we showed them through our prayer example how to talk to God as well.  We suggested also they further talk to their minister or to their priest … or approach one if they did not have one. 

As a pro-lifer and ‘40 days for life’ participant … it was an eye opener for me … to see my Community’s [Rocky River] ‘pro-life and spiritual’ response to our presence, prayer and outreach.  Like sheep without a shepherd.  My heart broke for them.

MORE PRO-LIFE PRAYERS, PRESENCE AND OUTREACH COMING TO - ROCKY RIVER HEALTH CENTER [PLANNED PARENTHOOD].   

That said, we are not going to let people go without further ‘pro-life and religious’ support by walking away from them now.  We will continue our prayer, presence and outreach throughout the week, throughout the year whenever possible.  In front of and across the street of Rocky River Health Center [Planned Parenthood] … though, 40 Days for Life [a pro-life prayer effort] is over.

IN CLOSING

Recently a man argued with me against my display of graphic abortion signs.  I found this an opportunity to fight for this man’s soul for Christ. 

Ø       He told me that Christ would not support the use of graphic abortion signs.  I then calmly pulled my Crucifix [a cross with the image of the Crucified Christ on it] out from under my shirt.  I then showed him my Crucifix with the image of the Crucified Christ on it.  I told him, Sir, yes Christ does support graphic signs, this Crucifix is the greatest ‘graphic sign’ of all time.  Christ died on this tree to show you, I and all … His great love for us all.  For we are all sinners and we need to pray to God to forgive all of our sins.   

Then when our conversation was over I invited him to come back and pray with us in front of Rocky River Health Center [Planned Parenthood].  He told me he would think about it.  Then we both shook hands and he left.

FINALLY

As a pro-lifer I feel every life has worth.  Every life has meaning.  Every life is worth living.  Every life is created by God … and God does not make junk.  Nor does God want the Human Life He creates destroyed.  

That is why I did not give up on the man who argued against my display of graphic abortion signs. 

That is why I will not give up on Rocky River and I will not give up in stopping abortion in Rocky River.  

Why don’t you join me and we will stop abortion in Rocky River … together.  God Bless You All.

PRAYER: DEAR BLESSED SACRAMENT OF THE ALTAR BRING US HOME TO YOU.

We thank you Oh Lord for being with us every day in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar where you retain yourself both in Your Body and Blood.  Ever ready to grant us the grace for receiving you, have pity and mercy on us for our transgressions.  For we are empty and we can only be made whole by You alone.  Once we receive you be our constant guide and companion now, at the time of our death … and for eternity in Heaven with You forever and ever … and protect the unborn … I ask this in Jesus Name, Amen.
